在一月份，中国宝山钢铁股份有限公司(宝钢)下属企业宝钢湛江与普锐特冶金技术签订合同，订购了一台 板坯连铸机。这台 3 号铸机将建在中国南方广东省的宝钢湛江生产厂，这里已在 2015 年晚些时候建成了 两台普锐特冶金技术板坯连铸机。3 号铸机的年产能力为 280 万吨优质高强钢种，将为 1,780 毫米热带钢 轧机提供板坯。这是该厂二期建设的组成部分，目标是将钢产量提高到 1,235 万吨/年，从而增强湛江新厂 的实力。新铸机预计将于 2021 年早些时候投产。
3 号板坯连铸机同之前提供的 1 号和 2 号铸机相似，使铸机之间能够互换设备，采用相同的自动化方案和 配置，以及相同的操作和维修方法。它采用了直结晶器弧形连铸机设计，铸机半径为 9.5 米，冶金长度为 37.2 米，浇铸的板坯宽度为 900 – 1,650 毫米，厚度为 230 或 250 毫米，拉速能够在每分钟 1 – 1.95 米之 间变化。浇铸的钢种将包括从超低碳到高碳的所有碳钢，深冲钢，结构钢，包晶钢，高强度低合金钢，微 合金到高合金钢，以及管线钢、带钢和硅钢。
铸机配备了 SmartMold 箱式直结晶器、DynaFlex 结晶器振动装置和 DynaWidth 板坯自动调宽系统。 DynaGap Soft Reduction 保证了板坯稳定达到出色的内部质量。铸流导向采用了 Smart Segment 扇形段。 Dynacs 3D 冷却模型和 I-Star 内部冷却辊的结合为二次冷却提供了极大的灵活性。
