The Mold Box is a standardized tool for monitoring and performing dedicated test runs for width-adjustable molds of continuous casters, supporting steel plant operators in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment. It enables manual functional tests of molds in the maintenance area to ensure they are in optimal condition before use.

The Mold Box features a portable design, complete with a comprehensive control panel and a graphical touch display for ease of use. It controls all movements of the cylinders of width-adjustable molds and checks the interlocks for correct operation of the hydraulic adjustment cylinders in manual, positioning, or automatic mode.

The Mold Box can be used as a standalone device, but combining it with the testing and monitoring software Caster Package Checker ensures a complete, fully automated set of test runs, reducing the time required for testing. Additionally, the Caster Package Checker provides test certificates for maintenance to ensure proper operation.
